CHRIS PANOS

According to Houston-based author Chris Panos, most Americans haven’t a clue as to what the Muslim world is thinking.  According to Panos, Islamic teaching and Islamic law divides the world into two camps:  Dar-al-Islam, the lands under Islamic control, and Dar-al-Harb, the domain or abode of war, which includes any countries not under Islamic control.  According to Panos, if you are not living in a Muslim land, then to Muslim minds you are living in Dar-al-Harb, the domain or abode of war.  Dar-al-Harb is actually a war zone, one where the Muslim rules of war apply, a zone in which non-Muslims are fair game and can expect to be targeted for conquest.

Panos has spent decades working with Muslims in countries including Syria, Iran, Jordan, Israel, Lebanon, India, China, Spain, and Africa.  According to him, we were attacked on 9/11 because the Muslim world perceived America as weak. Over and over again, America had failed to take the threat of jihad seriously.  In June 1996 a truck bomb exploded outside the Khobar Towers killing 19 American servicemen and wounding hundreds of various nationalities—and we did nothing.  In August 1998 car bombs exploded outside US embassies in Nairobi and Dar es Salaam, killing 224 and wounding thousands—and we did nothing.  In October 2000, a terrorist bombing killed 17 US soldiers aboard the USS Cole—and we did nothing.  According to Panos, jihadists saw the U.S. as weak and victory as possible, so they attacked.

These views and others can be found in Panos’s latest book, Dancing with Islam’s AssassinsWritten in three parts, Dancing with Islam’s Assassins offers an introduction to what radical Islamists actually think, a Biblical perspective on the modern Middle East, and steps you can take to protect your family from weapons of mass destruction and other sudden disasters.

For decades, people in all walks of life have been amazed and blessed by Panos’s worldwide miracle ministry.  During the Cold War, he made many trips behind the Iron Curtain, smuggling countless then-illegal Bibles into Communist nations and preaching the Gospel to beleaguered Christians.  In Moscow, he was waylaid by KGB agents.  In India, radical student groups tried to incite riots at his meetings.  Hindu mobs rushed and stoned the platforms where he spoke to crowds that numbered in the hundreds of thousands.

A successful businessman-turned-evangelist, Panos’s life story is as exciting as a movie script.  A Greek Orthodox Christian, he now conducts crusades around the world.  He has ministered in over 75 different nations as a missionary to Lakewood Church in Houston (Joel Osteen, Pastor).

Panos is also a bestselling author.  His Best Selling autobiography, God’s Spy tells his personal story.  Some of his other books include best seller Faith Under Fire, Double Agent, and his latest, Dancing with Islam’s Assassins.
