Kenneth R. Timmerman is a New York Times best-selling author and contributing editor for Newsmax Media. As an investigative journalist and war correspondent he has spent his career examining the dark side of national security, and is considered one of the world's leading experts on the Islamic regime of Iran. He has been a featured guest on the nation's top syndicated radio, and cable and broadcast news programs. He has been interview dozens of times on cable news programs and syndicated radio as he detailed the millenarian agenda of Iran's leaders, their devotion to the 12th Imam, and the tragic gaps in U.S. intelligence in spotting and tracking these threats.

Many are familiar with Timmerman since the release of his 2006 best-selling book on Iran, Countdown to Crisis: the Coming Nuclear Showdown in Iran. He was many years ahead of his time on Iran, and is considered today to be one of the world's leading experts on the dangers this Islamic country wields for the free world. Timmerman was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2006 for his extensive reporting on Iran.

Since 1987, Timmerman has operated Middle East Data Project, Inc., a small business that has provided investigative support and policy guidance to government agencies and private companies on three continents, and in 1995 founded Foundation for Democracy in Iran. During Timmerman's extensive travels in the middle east, one issue plagued him more than any other - the plight and persecution of Christians in the Middle East. Timmerman’s reporting trips to Lebanon, Jordan, and Iraq provided the inspiration for his latest book, ST. PETER'S BONES which was released on January17, 2011.

For the past three years Timmerman has been documenting the rapidly expanding Muslim jihad to drive Christians from their ancestral homeland in the Middle East. He had reported on jihadi attacks against Christian homes, businesses and churches in Baghdad and Mosul. He has described the heart-ache of Bible believers whose loved ones get kidnapped, tortured, and killed by Muslim fanatics. He has detailed the sufferings of Christian refugees living in squalor in Amman and Beirut, or living as internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the Nineveh Plain in northern Iraq. On Newsmax, and dozens of other web publications, Timmerman reported extensively about the slaughter of worshipers at a New Year's Eve. service in Alexandria, Egypt that killed 21 worshippers and injured 79 others (Click Here).

ST. PETER'S BONES is Timmerman's first historical novel, which takes readers inside the history behind the persecution of Christians in Iraq, and brings them forward to today's problems in Iraq. Based on real people and real facts, Timmerman has chosen to fictionalize the names of key characters to protect their identities.

The Obama administration has not intervened as attacks on Christians escalate (click here). On January 21st, a Congressional hearing was held by the Human Rights Commission.  This bi-partisan  commission made a clear challenge to the Obama administration and encouraged them to get serious about putting pressure on the governments of Egypt and Iraq to halt the violent attacks on Christian minorities. Timmerman attended the hearings and prepared a report for Newsmax Media (special report on hearing).
