About Us
TalkGuests.Com is a wholly-owned
subsidiary of
Adventures
In Media, Inc, a full-service
media consulting, publicity and promotions agency that has served the literary
and entertainment industry for decades. The founder of
TalkGuests.com
is media veteran Rod Mitchell. His background is comprised of broadcast news
journalism, with more than 24 years experience as a publicist.

During the Gulf War, the media's
need for contributors for working news stories brought many media outlets
knocking at his door. They were seeking former military officers and experts who
could provide commentary and a professional viewpoint on the war in the Middle
East. From his long list of literary clients, all of whom were non-fiction
authors, serving as consultants or experts in many fields, Rod had the ideal
list of contributors that the media were seeking. In December of 1992, that
innovation led to the formation of
TalkGuests.com.
Today, TalkGuests.com reaches out and serves all primary national radio and TV
news and talk editors, producers and guest bookers, as well as major newspapers
and TV news magazines in the top 50 markets. His 'Avails' service is FREE to the
media and more than 3,800 media outlets subscribe to his service worldwide.
Subscribers receive occasional email press alerts, when timely news stories,
authors or experts become available, and his web site lists more than 150
experts in more than 90 separate fields.
Because of his professional background and experience in journalism, and unique understanding
of news desk protocols, he works comfortably with major cable and broadcast
networks. Many of Rod's clients are called upon regularly as expert contributors on FOX
NEWS, CNN, MSNBC, Court TV and CNBC, and all major TV news magazines on ABC, NBC,
and CBS (Dateline, 20/20, 60-Minutes, 48-Hrs, ect.).
Rod's media contacts and relationships have propelled him to be considered as
one of the top freelance news and talk publicists in the country.
If you have a colorful, newsworthy story, or wish to contribute to a story currently in the news, or simply have questions, please feel free to drop Rod a line. He would love to hear from you.
